About Me

A career in communications often takes you to unexpected places. For me, it was back to my childhood home where I started my family. There's nothing "settled" about me. I'm always looking for the next adventure. 

For decades, I worked in news reporting on issues affecting health, safety, education and family finances. My stories on the DeepWater Horizon Oil Rig explosion brought national attention to the problems in Orange Beach, Ala. and inefficiencies with BP's clean up efforts. Our stories have launched investigations into bad contractors and environmental problems. I've helped solve renter problems, prompted state action into a gas leak, got a county to make road changes to prevent drunk drivers from hitting a family home, fixed potholes, found homes for stray animals and prepared people for severe weather.

Some bomb threats put the safety of my children's preschool and an entire community into jeopardy. I utilized my experience to pass legislative resolutions offering public support, help advance public safety legislation in support of our cause and get media coverage of our cause.

I can do the same for you and your business, church or non-profit. I may be out of the newsroom but my desire to tell stories and help others is still as strong as ever.
